The Ecuadorean Civic Committee of New Jersey performed its social work 2017,
In seven different places of our country Ecuador. We started in Portoviejo, Province of Manabí, in the parishes of Picoazá, Pueblo Nuevo, Abdon Calderón and Alajuela, where we delivered school supplies, backpacks and first aid articles in parochial schools.
Thank you to the Mayor of Portoviejo for providing us with the coordination, the presidents of the parish boards, Directors and teachers of the different schools for their attentions.
Then we moved to the Province of Tungurahua, visiting 2 Foundations: – “San Pedro de Pelileo” where we deliver food, first aid material and a climber for rehabilitation of children.
-Foundation “Heart of Mary” in which we contribute with an industrial kitchen, an industrial blender and first aid material for special children.
We also visited the Salasaca community to deliver food, walking sticks and first aid supplies to seniors. In this town we also provide school supplies and backpacks for school children.
All this social work could be carried out thanks to the great help of our Ecuadorian community in New Jersey and to the determined cooperation of our sponsors:
– North Hudson Community Action Cop.
– Johnson & Johnson (Ms. Rita Benavides).
– Alvarado Cedeño Family.
– Members of the CCENJ.
– Friends of the Committee.
